A day out after class

Last Thursdays class was a great for Wendy, Patsy, Merrilyn and Stella, with plenty of one on one time. We were a small but very productive group,as some of the girls are on holidays or had to work. We had a visit from Kim's mum Joan and Aunty Judith, to help Kim get ready for the Buderim Quilt Show for the weekend.

Wendy, Julie, Helen and myself went to the Quilt Show on Friday. We had a great morning catching up with friends/quilter from other groups. There was a great display of beautiful quilts, with a nice variety of styles and techniques. We saw a beautiful Australian inspired Baltimore, a hand quilted Double Wedding Ring, with trupunto,  a hand quilted wholecloth. Also on display was some Crazy Patch and the Textile groups challenge.

I have a lot more photos of the beautiful quilt from this show but unable to get permission to show them on my blog.

So after a great morning looking at quilts the only thing to do was go out for lunch. We found a nice cafe right next door to a dress shop. What a nice way to spend the day with friends.

Happy Stitching
